Do you want to assist us in taking care of adults in our community who need our help? Then join this compassionate team in the Economic and Social Services Division (ESS) of WCHHS - and let's do this. We are seeking an Adult Medicaid, Long Term Care - Eligibility Team Lead to guide a dynamic team of Caseworkers.  (Full description can be found on our career site.) Primary functions are:
  • Answering staff policy questions, and general public inquiries
  • Handling special assistance in home cases
  • Preparing and presenting mini-training to staff as needed
  • Meeting regularly with trainees to check work for accuracy, monitor progress, and provide mentoring, and policy interpretation
  • Maintaining case action and case management responsibility for vacant caseloads
  • Completing quality reviews of staff casework
  • Developing and maintaining working relationship with area facilities, attorneys, and other area representatives
  • Acting as a local hearing officer for Adult Medicaid cases
  • Working with families and caregivers and provides information and assistance on needs, programs and services
  • Regularly evaluating the workload to determine if there needs to be any organizational or procedural changes
