Then join this compassionate team in the Economic and Social Services Division (ESS) of WCHHS - and let's do this. We are seeking an Adult Medicaid, Long Term Care - Eligibility Team Lead to guide a dynamic team of Caseworkers.  (Full description can be found on our career site.) Primary functions are:
  • Answering staff policy questions, and general public inquiries
  • Handling special assistance in home cases
  • Preparing and presenting mini-training to staff as needed
  • Meeting regularly with trainees to check work for accuracy, monitor progress, and provide mentoring, and policy interpretation
  • Maintaining case action and case management responsibility for vacant caseloads
  • Completing quality reviews of staff casework
  • Developing and maintaining working relationship with area facilities, attorneys, and other area representatives
  • Acting as a local hearing officer for Adult Medicaid cases
  • Working with families and caregivers and provides information and assistance on needs, programs and services
  • Regularly evaluating the workload to determine if there needs to be any organizational or procedural changes
