The Adult Protective Services Supervisor for the Senior and Adult Services Programs supervises and manages the coordination and delivery of services involving individuals and families as related to the Adult Protective Services. This position directly supervises five (5) Adult Protective Social Workers. The Adult Protective Services Program receives and screens reports of abuse, neglect or exploitation of disabled adults as well as provision of services. Staff rotate after hours coverage and this position rotates after hours supervisor coverage with the manager and 3 other supervisors.
Essential functions of this position include:
- Providing direction and developing short- and long-range goals for staff through monitoring workloads and productivity
- Ensuring the quality of casework through regular review of cases and identifying training needs; Performs data collection and reporting tasks
- Providing customer service by responding to inquiries regarding programmatic issues, questions, and complaints from clients

- Bachelor's degree
- Three years of job-related experience
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
- Three years of experience within a State or County Department of Social Services - Adult Services (Adult Protective Services or Adult Guardianship) or Child Welfare Programs
- Direct experience supervising staff and personnel management.
