Job Description

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This position directs the Child Support Enforcement Program. Work involves planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the program, and primarily supervising administratively and technically eight (8) CSS Agent II positions. The individual resolves concerns and provides training for direct line staff. Responsibilities and Duties of this position includes Planning and Setting Work Standards, Reviewing Work, Training, Personnel Responsibilities, Budgeting as well as other Duties. KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of Child Support Enforcement Program, related legal procedures, judicial operations, and office management practices and procedures. Working knowledge of supervisory practices and management techniques. Skill in interviewing, investigating, analyzing case variables. Ability to organize and summarize case information. Ability to represent program in oral and written form. Plan, direct, monitor and develop the IV-D program and supervise staff. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school plus five years of experience in investigative, judiciary, eligibility, attorney's office or related work which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the work, including one year of IV-D experience; or four year degree plus two and one half years of experience in the Child Support Enforcement Program; or Associate Degree in business, human resources, law enforcement or closely related field and three years of experience in investigative, judiciary, eligibility, attorney's office or related work, including one year of IV-D experience. Experience in Enforcement is preferred.
