POSITION:  Data Entry Operator II                         SALARY RANGE: $21,949 – 38,592 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: Primary responsibilities of this position is serving as the agency’s security officer. As the security officer, the person ensures proper access to various systems is granted based on strict adherence to federal and state regulations. This requires being very organized, paying significant attention to detail and exceptionally high level of accuracy when completing, reviewing, and keying of data. Position also requires sound judgement and decision making when considering access to the systems and other confidential reports and data.   This position also has responsibilities for Data Entry/Retrieval: This position assists agency staff with resolving questions/problems when keying data entry forms and errors in accessing state networks including password problems. This position is in contact frequently with State or County personnel to correct state network access and password resets. This position also performs many clerical type duties including but is not limited to processing referrals and agency forms, various clerical duties and as back up to the front desk. Data entry forms are submitted daily by agency staff and must be keyed the same day or at least by the State established deadline.   As with all positions with the Department of Social Services, this position is mandatory to serve in shelters during the time of natural and man-made disasters including overnight and weekends.   This position is classified as FLSA non-exempt.   MIMUMIMUM QUALIFICATIOS: Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills and abilities gained through at least one year of office assistant/secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
