Eligibility Specialist Supervisor II (IMC ) -Adult Medicaid ) –

Are you a highly motivated, self-directed individual with experience in income maintenance/eligibility?  Catawba County Social Services is recruiting for an Eligibility Specialist (Income Maintenance) Supervisor II for the Adult Medicaid Program, specifically the Long Term Care and Special Assistance programs. In this position, you will provide overall supervision, consultation, direction, and leadership to staff, monitoring and evaluating their performance against pre-established standards and policies.   RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring program
• Management, supervision, and evaluation of staff
• Staff development
• Customer service

  QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree, Associate degree or High School diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program (Adult Medicaid, Family Medicaid or Food and Nutrition Services)
• Prefer Adult Medicaid knowledge/experience
• Prefer 1 year of supervisory experience in income maintenance

• Ability to understand and interpret complex requirements and policies
• Strong knowledge and skills in NCFAST and other complex computer systems
• Creative thinking skills with the ability to analyze, problem solve, adapt, and organize environment
• This is considered light work; lifting up to 15 pounds.
