Job Description
The County is currently accepting applications for the position of Income Maintenance
Caseworker II (Economic Services Division). This position determines client eligibility in
the Food and Nutrition and Family and Children’s Medicaid Programs; interviews clients to
obtain required information; verifies the information obtained; and determines the client’s
eligibility for the program. Requires ability to comprehend fairly complex program
eligibility criteria and forms and to apply Federal, State, and County regulations for public
assistance under various programs; ability to prioritize work and maintain adherence to
strict and structured timeframes; and skill in mathematical reasoning and computation.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Paralegal
Technology, or related area; or an Associate’s Degree in a related area and two years of
paraprofessional, clerical, or public contact work experience which includes interviewing,
explaining information, gathering and compiling data, analysis of data and/or performance
of mathematical or legal tasks; or high school diploma and four years of paraprofessional,
clerical, or public contact work experience which includes interviewing, explaining
information, gathering and compiling of data, and analysis of data and/or the performance
of mathematical or legal tasks. Bi-lingual applicants preferred. All degrees/coursework
must be from an appropriately accredited institution.
Starting Salary $37,100 - $40,900 (commensurate with experience) and excellent benefits
