Income Maintenance Caseworker II

POSITION: Income Maintenance Caseworker II (will accept work-against) GRADE: 56 BEGINNING SALARY: $36, 842.67 for fully qualified IMC II LOCATION OF POSITION: Social Services Building, 2793 Caratoke Highway, Currituck, North Carolina 27929 POSITION AVAILABLE: Immediately MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Note: This position can be filled in a work against capacity at the Income Maintenance Caseworker I classification. A work against allows for the suitable candidate to obtain the experience required for the IMC II position by working as an IMC I for one year. The IMC I beginning salary is Grade 54- $32,818.22. JOB DESCRIPTION: The primary purpose of this position is to investigate allegations of public assistance fraud within the following programs administered by the department: Food and Nutrition Services, Work First, Medicaid, Special Assistance, Child Care Subsidy & Energy Assistance. This position carries a small Adult Medicaid caseload and performs all eligibility functions including intake, processing, and reviews. SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENT: Employment drug test, driver’s history screen and criminal background check required of finalist applicant(s). Selected candidate is required by state policy to receive the NCFAST Core Functions Certification by completing training and an examination within 90 days of employment.
