DATE:  November 3, 2021   POSITION:  INCOME MAINTENANCE III (Lead Worker).   UNIT:  FOOD & NUTRITION SERVICES (FNS) and ENERGY (LIHEAP & CRISIS INTERVENTION)   TYPE OF POSITION:  PERMANENT/FULL-TME MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY    8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.   GRADE:  65   SALARY: $32,599.00     DUTIES:   This position will provide professional human services work, assisting the Income Maintenance Supervisor II and the Income Maintenance Administrator, with the Income Maintenance Programs assigned which include:  Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) and Energy (LIHEAP & Crisis Intervention).  This position will serve as lead worker over the unit’s IMC staff; conduct second party reviews, provide training for new and existing staff regarding the unit’s programs and NC FAST computer system; maintain a minimal caseload and cover vacant caseloads as deemed necessary to meet business needs     RESPONSIBILITIES:   The person in this position must have a thorough knowledge of the Food and Nutrition Program and Energy Programs including LIHEAP and CRISIS INTERVENTION.  This person is responsible for assisting the supervisor in the day-to-day supervision of the Food and Nutrition and Energy Program Team. Must be proficient using the NC Fast system. This person will be required to become proficient in the Energy Programs.           KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:   The Income Maintenance Caseworker III will have through knowledge of the Food and Nutrition policies and become proficient in the Energy Programs. This person must be able to communicate effectively with workers, supervisors, clients, venders, or other members of the community with questions or concern regarding the programs specified above.  This person must have the ability to obtain and verify pertinent data and to interpret rules and regulations of the various Income Maintenance programs.  The IMC III in this position strives for a zero error rate.  This position will perform 2nd Party Reviews of cases and must be able to communicate identified staff performance matters to the supervisor as well as provide training to the unit or in a one on one setting.   This person must have general knowledge of the budget process, and must have good mathematical, reasoning, and computational skills.  This person must be highly organized and maintain detailed records and documentation.  The IMC III must be able to present information orally and in writing.     MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:   Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker II.   Graduation of high school with a combination of training of one year of mathematical computation, typing, data entry, and customer service. Must have at least one year of office experience or a two-year degree in Human Services or Business Administration. Must be able to perform normal office work and to drive a motor vehicle. Driver’s license is required.       BENEFITS:
