Job Description Income Maintenance Caseworker III – Quality Assurance for the Family and Children Medicaid Program An Income Maintenance Caseworker III is a member of the quality assurance unit and provides support for the Family and Children Medicaid units.  The IMC III completes second-party case reviews, report management, and minimal casework functions.  Employees are responsible for the review of other staff, spotting errors, and advising them and management of corrective actions needed to rectify errors.  The goal of this position is to ensure the agency is meeting quality and timeliness standards within the Family and Children Medicaid programs. Job responsibilities include:
  • Conduct second party case reviews and report case review findings to supervisor
  • Trouble shoot, send cases to help desk when appropriate, maintain and monitor help desk log
  • Compiles and enters data into NC FAST and county document management system
  • Cover vacant caseloads when staff are out as requested by management
  • Acts as a hearing officer in resolving client appeals

Normal Business Hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.  Must be available to work during emergency situations. Qualifications Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker II; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience with NC FAST required. Physical Requirements Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines, which include, calculators, copiers, facsimile machines, etc. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pound of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.
