Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist

Are you a fully Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist who has a passion for making a difference in the lives of children? Then come join Child Welfare in changing the trajectory of lives!! We are seeking a candidate who will provide clinical substance abuse assessments and referrals for parents involved with Child Welfare services. This dynamic individual must be able to work independently, have experience with adolescents and adults with co-occurring diagnosis, and be able to engage families - keeping them safely intact. You will need knowledge of facilities and programs to refer clients for the appropriate ASAM treatment needed. We are looking for a team player who will be responsible for working collaboratively with Child Welfare staff, providing case consultations. The great work you will do includes:

• Gathering and reviewing information for an assessment including review of the case records, medical records, previous assessments and criminal histories
• Scheduling and facilitating the substance abuse assessment and formulating recommendations using validated tools. Performing tracking, including drug testing; writing reports and maintaining documentation of contacts and services; initiating referrals and coordination to services 
• Collaborating with co-workers and supervisors on cases; participating in case meetings, and providing consultation and education to staff
• Performing a variety of administrative tasks. Participates in required meetings. Serves on committees if requested.  Completing day sheets, time sheets, mileage reports, tracking forms and other required documents  
• Testifying in court; providing accurate documentation of contacts, services recommended/or followed through 
• The Substance Abuse Clinician provides educational workshops to staff as needed; and for on-going research, training and workshops to maintain up to date knowledge of substances, testing and treatment options
