Job Description
- Person County Government is recruiting for a part-time Processing Assistant III in the Services Unit of the Department of Social Services. This employee will be responsible for maintaining, filing and/or scanning information for records in the Service Units, particularly the Adult Services Unit. This position is 100% record maintenance for Services. While performing these duties, the worker is responsible for scanning, filing, and pulling records. It is important to be able to deal with a wide variety of personalities. Promptness, accuracy, and flexibility are other essential attributes in this position. The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience. This is a non-exempt position. Part-time employees cannot work more than 1000 hours per calendar year. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy. Minimum Education and Experience
- Required Minimum Training: Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledges, skills, and abilities gained through at least one year of office assistant/secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
