JOB TITLE:                       Public Health Educator I – School Liaison (Temporary Full-Time Position through May 2022) DEPARTMENT:               Public Health SALARY:                           $20.00 an Hour / No Benefits CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION: October 15, 2021   DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This position will work with the Health Promotion and Policy program and serve as the school health liaison. This employee will be primarily responsible for the coordination of school health efforts between the local health department and schools in the county. Work will involve the coordination of COVID-19 screening, testing, vaccine administration efforts, and coordinate other school health/public health services.   MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in health education; or graduation from a four-year college or university and completion of one year of on-the-job training as a Public Health Educator.   SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Requires valid North Carolina driver’s license, good driving record and transportation for use at work. This position is temporarily funded through May 31, 2022. Work hours are Monday – Friday 8-5 with occasional evening & weekend hours. Pays $20.00 an hour / No Benefits.
