Job Description

Description of Job:    The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Adult and Children Services Unit by logging, assigning and tracking Facility reports, APS/CPS Reports, district referrals, setting up records, and reconciling forms.  This position serves as supply clerk for the Borden Building, security officer for the Borden Building and backup for the COB and Child Support.  This position completes criminal checks for Adult and Children’s Services.  This position also serves as a notary.  This position serves as a Co-Fleet Vehicle Manager and is responsible for maintaining office equipment and supplies. This position conducts new worker orientation for Fleet, office supplies and State Network.  This position assigns alternate ID numbers, keys forms, scans/sends mail, and triages incoming agency telephone calls accordingly. This position keys information into SIS, WIRM, XNET, MRS and Lexus Nexus.  This position works with the Supervisors and Social Workers on policy and procedure to complete and process mandated information for the Report to the Central Registry, CPS application, and Client Entry Form.  Verifies through OLV services provided, searches client data in NCFAST, completes state criminal checks and state perpetrator list. This position provides duties as receptionist/ switchboard operator on a rotating basis.  This position also serves as back-up for Vehicle Management.  This employee will learn and use programs Compass Pilot and Compass Appointments (Compass Co-Pilot, if issued a DSS IPad) as required by position to do, but not limited to: request leave, schedule/receive appropriate appointments, set up virtual files, scan/retrieve documents, receive/send tasks. Educational/Experience Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/secretarial experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.
