Job Description
- Brunswick County is seeking an In-Home Services Social Work Supervisor to join the Social Services Department. This position provides direct supervision to a team of In-Home Services social workers. This Supervisor reports to the Social Work Program Manager. This position is in the Children's Services Unit performing duties related to In-Home Services. Work in this class involves the supervision of a staff of social workers that provide direct and/or indirect services to clients. Work supervised is predominantly at the level of Social Worker III. This position assigns cases to subordinates, coordinates work flow operations, and supervises staff through case review and consultation which requires the provision of substantial and recurring technical direction. This position is responsible for staff training, resolving problems and ensuring that quality services are provided. Requires the ability to interpret law and policies in arriving at sound casework decisions. Must be able to work with and relate to all types of people. Must be able to keep clear and concise records. Must be able to plan and execute work effectively. Performs other duties as required, including occasional supervision of the on-call/after hours social worker.
