Social Worker IAT – On Call

The Person County Department of Social Services exists to alleviate emotional and economic distress among the people of the county. The primary purpose of the Child Protective Services Intake and Assessments Unit is to assure that children are protected from abuse, neglect, dependency or abandonment by the parent(s) or caretaker. The Unit is responsible for receiving and screening the referrals and assessing the validity of the referrals. This unit is one of three Child Welfare units with a focus on assuring that that the emotional, social, physical and economic needs of child(ren) in the county are met. The primary purpose of this position is to provide coverage for the Person County Department of Social Services after typical business hours, on weekends, and on holidays. This position was established to provide continuity in service delivery during times when the agency is closed.
