One (1) Full Time Social Worker II – Perm Planning Recruitment Specialist

Department of Social Services   Duties and Responsibilities:  This position ensures the availability of competent, well-trained, and quality-assured resource families to care for the children placed in the agency’s custody.  Duties include recruitment, training, licensure, placement match consultation, clinical services, and supervision of the resource families.   Qualifications:  Must have good interpersonal and communication skills; assess needs and develop assets to meet those needs; “network” and work independently.   Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work, or a four- year college or university degree in a human services field plus one year of social work or counseling experience, or a four-year college or university degree plus two years of social work or counseling experience.  One year’s experience working with target population is strongly preferred.   College transcripts should be attached.   Applications must be obtained, fully completed, and submitted to Henderson County HRD by mail 112 First Avenue West, Hendersonville, NC 28792, by email (hrd@hendersoncountync.gov), or by fax (828) 698-6184.  Please see our website, www.hendersoncountync.gov/hr and refer to the Additional Applicant Information section for more detailed instructions.   The deadline for application is:  5:00 pm on January 26, 2022   Starting rate:      $21.34 per hour Grade:  72A
