Social Worker III

Position will be responsible for carrying a foster care caseload for CPS Team VI. This includes working with children in care and their families to provide support, counseling, monitoring, reviewing, and maintaining the services provided to accomplish the duties and responsibilities of the position. Position will also work with court counselors, the court system, group homes, children’s homes, treatment facilities, school, health officials, etc. Position must be knowledgeable of standards for CPS. Position reports directly to the CPS Team VI Supervisor. Responsible for on-call with other foster care social workers. Perform other duties as required. Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work and one year social work or counseling experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of social work and two years of social work or counseling experience; or a Master’s Degree in a counseling field and two years of social work or counseling; or a four-year degree in a human-service- field-related curriculum, including at least 15 semester hours in courses related to social work or counseling experience; or graduation from a four-year college or university and four years of experience in rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling, or a related human-service field, providing experience in the techniques of casework group work, or community organization; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
