Job Description
Brunswick County Department of Social Services is accepting applications for a Social Worker in our Permanency / Foster Care unit. We are a forward thinking, creative organization that truly believes in treating others as we want to be treated. We are looking for the right person to join our Team.

- Create a case plan with parents/caregivers to address the needs identified in the petition
- Make regular home visits/community visits with parents and child(ren)
- Supervise visits with parents/caregivers and transport child(ren) at times
- Conduct private discussions to assess child safety and risk on an ongoing basis
- Connect families to community resources to address safety and risk factors
- Complete timely, concise, detailed documentation
- Complete court reports and testify at court hearings
- Collaborate with team members to include service providers to make informed decisions regarding the permanent plan for child(ren)
