Job Description

The Department of Social Services is seeking a highly self-motivated, dependable professional to serve as a Senior Income Maintenance Caseworker (lead worker) within the Family & Children's Medicaid case management program area. The successful candidate will provide support to a team of eligibility staff by mentoring and coaching new employees, completing second party reviews, and assisting with troubleshooting problem cases within NCFAST. This position will require extensive knowledge of the Family & Children's Medicaid recertification process as lead workers maintain a caseload of employee cases and will be expected to assist with processing recertification during high volume months and as needed for vacant caseloads, new employees, and underperforming staff. Lead workers also perform other supportive functions for the Economic Services Division. Performing related work as required at supervisory discretion. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, mathematical and analytical skills, and have the ability to multitask in a fast paced, high volume work environment. The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft software and Google applications as well as be familiar with the computer systems associated with the Family & Children's Medicaid. Individual must support the Forsyth County Guiding Principles of WeCare : Integrity, Awareness, Accountability, Respect and Excellence This position calls for the ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment. Graduation from high school or GED and two (2) years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or closely related experience. A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement. Knowledge of NCFAST is preferred. Ability to type 45 works per minute (or faster) is preferred.
