Social Worker III (Foster Care)

This social work position provides placement and adoption services for children (ages 0 – 18) that are in the legal custody of the Vance County Dept. of Social Services. The social worker in this position will demonstrate a knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work and community problems. Be knowledgeable of a wide range of behavioral and psycho-social problems and their treatment. Ensure that services provided follow State, and Federal policies governing Foster Care/Placement and Adoption Services.  Demonstrate an ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively.  This position is also responsible for On-Call duty for after hours, weekends, holidays and Disaster Duty is also an essential function of this position.
