Job Description
The Wake County Economic and Social Services Division provides services such as Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), Family and Children’s Medicaid (FCMA), Adult Medicaid (AMA), Work First (WF) and Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Program and Staff Development is a section within this Division. Program and Staff Development consists of the following teams: NC Fast On-Site Support, Training, Quality Assurance, IT Security, Onboarding, and Appeals. We are currently seeking an Economic Services On-Site Support Consultant, a hybrid position (dual role), to join this dynamic team!
The purpose of the Economic Services On-Site Support Consultant is to provide technical expertise and training on all automated systems used by staff in the Wake County Human Services Economic Services Division, and to assist with policy training for Adult Medicaid Programs such as Community Alternative Program (CAP), Long Term Care (LTC), Private Living Arrangement (PLA) and Special Assistance (SA) and Food and Nutrition Services (FNS). May also train staff in other programs as needed including Child Care Subsidy, Work First, Work First 200% Services, Program Integrity and Energy Assistance.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and resolving NC FAST user issues
- Providing training and troubleshooting other automated systems used by staff such as, Work Number, OLV/WIRM, OnBase, SAVE, SharePoint and EBT Edge
- Assisting with designing and delivering training on social services programs, policies and procedures
- Evaluating and recommending improvements to processes and systems
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Health, or related field
- Three (3) years of experience related to the area of employment
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record may be required
- Equivalent education or experience are accepted
- Bachelor’s degree in organizational/industrial psychology, human resources, education, curriculum development or related field
- Four (4) years or more of current experience providing case management and income eligibility determination in a State or County Economic Services program, such as Adult Medicaid or Food and Nutrition Services
- Advanced experience working with NCFAST, State Host on Demand, OnBase, and SharePoint
- Experience with designing online training and videos
- Knowledge of Adult Medicaid Policies (CAP, LTC, PLA, SA) and Food and Nutrition Services
- Ability to train case managers
- Skillsets to troubleshoot and resolve NC Fast and OnBase issues
- Expertise in operating a personal computer and using various software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office products, internet, web-based skills, etc.)
- Ability to use data to track, monitor, recommend and implement changes
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
