RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in supportive services to CPS social workers by interviewing collaterals via phone
  • Summarizing CPS history on all cases
  • Requesting and summarizing records such as law enforcement, medical, mental health and substance use
  • Reviewing audio and video evidence and summarizing information in the record
  • Completing service referrals/locating needed resources
  • Taking families to appointments and screenings and/or taking items to their home
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of social work; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or related curriculum and 1 year of social work experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services field and 2 years of social work experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • A valid Driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • This is considered light to medium work; lifting up to 40 pounds to carry children and belongings.
PREFERENCES:
  • Direct social work experience in child welfare services or similar experiences
  • Experience in interviewing others
  • Experience in reviewing and summarizing various types of records
  • Persons with bilingual ability (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
