Child Support Agent II

The Jackson County Department is recruiting for a Child Support Agent II. The primary purpose of this position is to perform line-level Child Support Services through in-depth investigation and preparation of cases for court, enforcing court orders and presenting cases in court with the agency attorney.  The starting salary is $34,637.49, depending on education and experience, which requires a four year degree and six months experience in eligibility, investigative, judiciary, or legal work that provides knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the work; or an associate’s degree in business administration, human resources, law enforcement or closely related degree and two years of experience in eligibility, investigative, judiciary, or legal work that provides knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the work; or graduation from high school and three years of experience in eligibility, investigative, judiciary, or legal work that provides knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  The application for employment is available online at www.jcdss.org or the Sylva branch of the NC Works Career Center.  Applications will be taken until February 14, 2022.
