Job Description
Are you a highly motivated, self-directed individual with experience in income maintenance/eligibility? Catawba County Social Services is recruiting, for an Eligibility Specialist (Income Maintenance) Supervisor II for the Work First and Energy Assistance Programs. In this position, you will provide overall supervision, consultation, direction, and leadership to staff, monitoring and evaluating their performance against pre-established standards and policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning, organizing, directing and monitoring the Work First and Energy Assistance Programs
- Assess quality and timeliness of work
- Analyze work flow and determine best practices; monitor funding
- Management, supervision and evaluation of staff
- Staff Development
- Customer Service
- Bachelor degree, Associate degree or High School diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an Economic Services Program (Work First, Energy, etc.)
- Ability to motivate and manage staff well
- Understanding of complex requirements and policies
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- Excellent organization and prioritization
- Strong communication skills
- This is considered light work; lifting up to 20 pounds
- Do you have at least 3 years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker/Eligibility Specialist within Social Services? If yes, what programs and how many years with each one?
- Describe your experience supervising others and any other positions/situations where you took on a leadership role.
- Briefly describe you experience and skills in NCFAST and other complex computer systems.
