Income Maintenance Supervisor II

Person County Government is recruiting for an Income Maintenance Supervisor II for the Family and Children's Medicaid Unit at Social Services.  The primary purpose of the Family and Children's Medicaid Supervisor II is to direct the work of the unit.  This position directly supervises Income Maintenance Caseworkers. The employee in this position is responsible for planning and organizing the work of the unit, assessing and making recommendations about budgetary needs, setting the work standards, recruiting staff when there are vacancies, planning and providing staff training, reviewing and evaluating the work of staff, and counseling and disciplining staff as the need arises. This is an exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually. Minimum Education and Experience Required Minimum Training (Must match State classification spec): Three years’ experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
