    Positions available in multiple locations throughout Wake County
     
    Primary functions include:
     
    • Planning, delivering and coordinating services for children and families
    • Gathering and reviewing information to develop comprehensive family assessments; scheduling and facilitating Child and Family Team meetings and Permanency Planning Review meetings; developing family case plans jointly with families, and incorporating families’ strengths and needs
    • Preparing referrals to services needed by children and caregivers; ensuring all team members (including guardian ad litems, mental health therapists, placement providers, and other service providers) have the information needed to initiate services; facilitating introductory meetings between parents and foster parents; and participating in concurrent planning and activities in support of children achieving permanency in a safe and timely manner
    • Maintaining ongoing communication with and assessment of children and their caregivers to ensure safety, wellbeing, and delivery of needed services
    • Completing administrative tasks; serving on committees as requested; and preparing and maintaining timely documentation of all services as outlined in established guidelines
    • Participating in court actions through the preparation and delivery of court reports and testimony at multiple hearings including adjudications, permanency planning hearings, and termination of parental rights
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Three years of job-related experience
  • Completion of the NC Child Welfare Education Collaborative (CWEC) traineeship can be substituted for 1 year of experience
  • Valid Driver's License and safe driving record
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted
