Social Work Supervisor III – Child Protective Services

    RESPONSIBILITIES:   Supervises a unit of social workers responsible for receiving reports of child abuse and neglect, screening reports, completing assessments of neglect reports and investigations involving reports of serious neglect or abuse.  Social workers may provide case management and arrange in-home services for families as needed.  May provide supervision of other staff, including clerical support, as needed.  Will serve as backup to on-call social workers on a rotational basis.  Position involves decision-making regarding screening and actions taken regarding reports and cases.
