Job Description

Description of Job:    The primary purpose of this position is to independently coordinate the support needed for Program Integrity. These functions may include, but are not limited to: pulling daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports from XNET, Data Warehouse, the On-Line Verification system and NC FAST; gathering and analyzing statistical data for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the state and federal government and maintaining spreadsheets/files for data; assigning incoming claims and estate recoveries, via Compass Pilot tasks, state reports or in person interviews, to Program Integrity Investigators; maintaining Administrative Disqualification Hearing  schedule for the Program Integrity Unit; Receipting payments from cash, cashier’s check or money orders, for the following programs – Program Integrity, Special Assistance, NC Health Choice, Adoption Fees, Paternity Test Fees and Child Support Payments; scanning receipts to Compass Pilot and creating tasks for the applicable caseworkers or investigators; posting and balancing payments in NC FAST and Quick Books; bookkeeping for all claims including mailing quarterly statements to beneficiaries who have PI claims; working with the supervisor on the Daily Cash Reconciliation Report; transitioning and balancing collected payments to Administration for deposit on a daily basis; contacting the Clerk of Court’s Office when working on estate recovery cases, and working with the State PI on case closures through telephone and fax; handling all incoming Program Integrity phone calls and walk-ins, answering questions relating to PI claims and payments and forwarding to the appropriate investigator or supervisor; and handling the processing of VRAs.  This employee will learn and use programs Compass Pilot and Compass Appointments and NC FAST as required by the position. Educational/Experience Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/secretarial experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.
