JOB TITLE:                    Income Maintenance Caseworker III – Medicaid Quality Improvement Coordinator DEPARTMENT:            Social Services
SALARY:                        Based on experience

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The QIC is responsible for performing a variety of complex tasks and functions in the Medicaid programs. Maintain the quality of Medicaid eligibility program casework through second party reviews and by consistently collecting and analyzing data to ensure accuracy and further ensure that program goals and state standards are met. Work is characterized by a high level of Medicaid program knowledge and procedures as well as NC FAST system knowledge. Explain information regarding case status to agency staff and supervisors.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must have two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker II; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associate, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, or a closely related curriculum.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Ability to plan, organize, evaluate & direct operations. Thorough understanding of Income Maintenance Programs and NC FAST System.
