Job Description

Job Purpose An Income Maintenance Supervisor II works under limited supervision, the position provides supervision, training, support and leadership to the income maintenance caseworkers in the Universal Economic Services Unit.  Within this position there is budget planning and unit budget oversight required. Responsibilities
  • Supervises department employees which involves such duties as instructing, assigning, reviewing work, maintaining standards, creating and implementing employee work plans, selecting new employees and conducting performance appraisals.
  • Maintains accurate preparation of records, reports and documentation.
  • Monitors cases for compliance with time and participation standard and eligibility requirements.
  • Ensures that all clients are being treated fairly and in accordance with department policies.
  • Conducts second party reviews for cases processed in Family and Children's and/or Adult Medicaid programs.
  • Responsible measuring workloads and analysis of workflow standards.
  • Performs other duties as trained and assigned.
Skills & Abilities Education & Experience:  Associate's Degree in Human Services Technology, Social Services, Paralegal, Technology, Criminal Justice, Business Administration or like field of study, with three years of experience in Income Maintenance as a Caseworker or Investigator, and one year of supervisory experience, preferred; or equivalent combination of training and experience.  PLEASE SUBMIT A COPY OF COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS WITH APPLICATION. Computer Skills:  Prior experience with Microsoft Windows suites of products. License/Credentials: Possession of a valid NC driver's license. Special Information: *All DSS positions are subject to reallocation contingent upon funding, agency needs and client population and are subject to perform work during emergency or disaster situations as required and may be required to staff shelter overnight.
