About this Opportunity
The Income Maintenance Caseworker III (IMC III) - Adult Medicaid Services Program Specialist is a member of the Medicaid team and reports to the Medicaid Program Manager. The IMC III completes second-party case reviews, report management, and minimal casework functions.  In this role, you would be responsible for identifying error trends and assisting with training. The ultimate goal of this position is to ensure the agency is meeting quality and timeliness standards within the Adult Medicaid programs units. Job responsibilities include:
  • Conducting second party case reviews
  • Assisting with training
  • Trouble shooting and sending cases to the help desk when appropriate; maintaining and monitoring help desk log
  • Compiling and entering data into NC FAST and County documentation management systems
  • Covering vacant caseloads as needed
  • Reviewing weekly NC Fast postcards and providing weekly training/review for staff

  • Knowledge of Adult Medicaid policies
  • Knowledge of NC FAST
  • NC Fast Core Functions Certification (or ability to obtain)

Must be available to work after normal business hours and during emergency situations.  
Education and Experience
 
  • Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associated, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial, or a closely related curriculum; or
  • Graduation from high school and three years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact , which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical program; or
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
One (1) year experience as Income Maintenance Caseworker II required.  
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment.  Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pound of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
