Income Maintenance Supervisor II

The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision, training, support, and leadership to the Income Maintenance unit and supervise the workers assigned to the unit. This position is responsible for interpreting and conveying information to agency staff, clients, and the community about programs, and to train, develop, and coach Income Maintenance Caseworkers in the knowledge and skills needed to perform the job.  The supervisor monitors the work performed and corrects any deviations from accepted practices or standards. The position is responsible for the supervision of all economic service programs including Medicaid, Work First, Food & Nutrition Services, Emergency Assistance, Crisis Intervention Program, Energy Programs and Program Integrity (fraud) to ensure all eligible persons receive the correct benefits in a timely fashion in accordance with policy guidelines. This position supervises a unit involved with all eligibility functions including intake, processing, and review. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
