- About this Opportunity
- An Income Maintenance Supervisor II (IMS II) provides supervision, training, and support to staff in the Family and Children Medicaid Unit. The Supervisor maintains current knowledge and State policy regarding the Family and Children Medicaid Program to ensure the agency is meeting quality and timeliness standards for the Family and Children Medicaid Programs.
Job responsibilities include:
- Reviews and ensures cases are processed accurately and within mandated Policy timeframes.
- Provides regular support and guidance to staff through conference and team meetings.
- Prepares annual and probationary evaluations.
- Assigns cases to staff and ensures workloads are balanced.
- Provides training and technical assistance for workers.
- Review NC Fast postcards and stay abreast of accurate interpretation and application of updates and changes sent via the State.

- Bachelor’s degree and two year of experience as a casework or investigator in an economic service program and preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or
- Associate degree and four years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an economic service program and preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment. Must be able to exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
