Salary Range: $51,815.97 - $85,496.35 (Compensation negotiable within the salary range for fully qualified applicants.  Salary rates are based on education, skill, and experience level as well as internal equity and market rates.)
**The anticipated starting salary for this position is $51,815.97, which is negotiable. **
Catawba County Social Services is recruiting an Business Manager I for Senior Nutrition Services to provide business functions to support the operations of Nutrition Services, Seniors Morning Out, Home Delivered Meals, and Frozen Meals. This position also has a strong focus on customer service, teamwork and program logistics.

  • Provide support and oversight of office functions that keep nutrition programs (Meals on Wheels, Seniors Morning Out and Frozen Meal Programs) running effectively and efficiently to serve seniors in the community.

Responsibilities: 
  • Serve as the first point of contact for in-person visitors and people calling the main line, providing a high level of customer service to all external and internal customers.
  • Oversee nutrition databases for Home Delivered Meals program, Seniors Morning Out and Frozen Meals and assure that client records are accurately completed and reviewed in order to comply with Home and Community Care Block Grant requirements.
  • Work closely with Seniors Morning Out Site supervisors and HDM case managers to assure that daily meal orders (400+ meals) are accurate and timely each day.
  • Collect statistics for all SNS programs to be used for outcome reporting, grants and public talks and maintain records for all fundraisers and maintain distribution database for annual Fund Drive.
  • Supervise purchasing for Senior Nutrition Services and reconcile use of procurement cards for the unit.
  • Verify and approve caterer invoices for all meal purchases and track 5310 transportation grant expenditures and reviews monthly invoices for accuracy.
  • Prepare and record all deposits for the unit.
  • Create and manage social media content as well as develop newsletters and annual campaign print material.
Qualifications:   
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting or a related field and 1 year of experience in program or business office management, including fiscal/budgeting responsibilities, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting or a related field and 3 years of experience in program or business office management, including fiscal/budgeting responsibilities
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • A valid Driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Excellent management and coaching skills with the ability to promote teamwork, customer service, and commitment to organizational goals
  • Outstanding communication, both oral and written
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multi-task and perform with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with budgeting, contract management, and negotiations
