Job Description
Job Purpose
Alamance County Department of Social Services is in search of a candidate to assist their HR Manager with day-to-day operations in managing the agency's personnel system for approximately 220 full-time employees and 23 part-time employees to include recruitment assistance, compiling leave records, maintaining accuracy in Kronos, complete and submitting payroll.
Responsibilities
- Completes processes necessary to fill vacant positions to include scheduling interviews, confirming with all applicants, contacting reference and verifying employment on prospective applicants.
- Manages and stores new Performance Evaluation forms, calculating and adding salary when applicable, returning to appropriate personnel, sending signed copies to the County HR office and providing employee with a signed copy.
- Manages the NeoGov web site, sending qualified applications to appropriate Program Managers.
- Maintains HR spreadsheets for current vacancies and master list of all current employees. Creates new spreadsheets as requested by Management.
- Responsible for processing paperwork for leave, salary changes, tracking LWOP hours, completing payroll for full-time employees and part-time employees of the agency, payroll for the disaster and FEMA, and delivering it to the county HR office.
- Serves as agency’s Kronos expert and provides technical and operational guidance to other employees regarding Kronos; adds appropriate codes as needed for emergency management incidents.
