JOB TITLE: Public Health Nurse II DEPARTMENT: Public Health SALARY: Based on experience CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION: September 02, 2022   DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Intermediate-level professional nursing work provides care to individuals and families in Public Health programs. Will serve as part of a team and / or charge nurse in clinics. Clinic programs include Communicable Disease / TB, Immunizations, General Clinic, STD / HIV, Family Planning, etc. May work community / preparedness events at times. May also be responsible for making occasional home visits to clients in Randolph County. This position will also be responsible for performing some lab duties. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a four-year college with a bachelor of science in nursing which includes a public health rotation and one year of public health nursing experience; or graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, two years of professional nursing experience one of which is in public health nursing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing.
