Social Work Supervisor III

Person County Government is now recruiting for a Social Work Supervisor III for the Child Protective Services Unit for Social Services.  The primary purpose of this organizational unit is to provide Child Welfare Services for children and families in Person County.  This employee will provide supervision for social work services for abused, neglected or dependent children and families and/or caregivers and to supervise services for children in resource placements. This is an exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually. Minimum Education and Experience Master’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a master’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
