Programs included are county emergency assistance funding, Work First Emergency Assistance, Work First 200% Funds, Crisis Intervention Program and Low-Income Energy Assistance Program. Services are provided through these programs and involve the performance of a basic assessment and planning for services. This position will spend a significant amount of time in performing tasks such as establishing eligibility for these specific programs or services, reaching conclusions as to the most appropriate services to meet client's needs. This employee will also supervise temporary staff in the energy programs, make referrals for other services, provide outreach and coordination with community agencies, and may be involved with program planning for the intake unit. This employee is a part of the economic services intake unit and reports to the supervisor of the unit. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a human services field such as social work, counseling, psychology, special education, deaf education, rehabilitation counseling or marriage and family therapy from an appropriately accredited institution; bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in counseling or in a related human services field which provides experience in techniques of counseling, casework, group work, or community organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
