Social Work Supervisor III

Includes direct supervision of social work staff for the Adult Protective Services Unit.  Work involves planning, organizing, and directing the Unit. Position ensures that all staff meet required training, on both state and agency level.  Supervises staff responsible for the delivery of intensive social work, including adult protective services, to clients and their families who have serious and complicated social, economic, emotion or mental problems.  Assigns work to staff, counsels and disciplines staff, according to agency structure. Plans and maintains unit budget.  Responsible to see that current policies and laws for adult protective services are carried out for Wilkes County.  Must be available as needed after hours for supervisory on-call responsibilities for adult protective services.  Acts as liaison for the Department with law enforcement, court system, other agencies, etc.  Consults as needed with Administration regarding overall agency decisions.  Perform other duties as required.
