Social Worker II

Description of Job Duties:    The primary purpose of this position is to assess, diagnose and initiate appropriate solutions to stabilize family environment and produce self-supporting families. This position serves as a link between agency and community systems to provide resources, services and opportunities. This position enhances problem solving, coping and developmental capabilities of people. This position provides Representative Payee services to those individuals who are unable to manage their own finances. This position provides Special Assistance-In Home services to those Medicaid clients who have been assigned to a slot. This position provides back-up intake assistance to Adult Protective Services unit on a rotational basis. This employee will learn and use programs Compass Pilot and Compass Appointments (Compass Co-Pilot, if issued a DSS iPad) as required by position to do, but not limited to: request leave, schedule/receive appropriate appointments, set up virtual files, scan/retrieve documents, receive/send tasks.  Experience using Microsoft Office 2000 (Word, Excel, etc.) required.  Educational/Experience Requirements:

•   Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work; or
•   4-year degree in a human services field plus one year of directly related experience; or
•   4-year college or university degree plus two years of directly related experience.
