This position is responsible for the total process of re-determining client eligibility for Family & Children Medicaid income maintenance programs. Duties include processing and review of information within the guidelines of state policy to determine continued eligibility requirements are met for recipients. Employee will provide information to clients based on Medicaid Manual. Work includes obtaining required verifications, completing recertifications as well as maintenance of assigned active caseload.

Work involves performing the following functions: intake, processing and review. In the intake process, employees are responsible for obtaining all pertinent data concerning the clients’ family composition, financial, employment and health status. Employees may also be involved in processing clients’ application through the verification of all information obtained during intake.

This position is critical to our meeting program standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The Income Maintenance Caseworker would qualify based on education and experience requirements of a 2-year degree from an accredited program in a specific curriculum; or high school plus 2 years paraprofessional/clerical public contact experience (one which must have been in an Income Maintenance Program); or high school plus 3 years paraprofessional/clerical public contact experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
