Job Description
Person County Government is recruiting for a Lead Child Support Agent for the Department of Social Services. The primary purpose of this position is to provide child support services to public assistance and non-public assistance clients in locating absent parents, establishing paternity, establishing support orders, and enforcing and/or modifying support and medical support orders. In addition to these duties, the Lead Child Support Agent is also responsible for training, assigning and reviewing the work of the staff.

This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
Minimum Education and Experience
Required Minimum Training (Must match State classification spec):
Graduation from high school and three years of experience in eligibility, investigative, judiciary, or legal work that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work; and one year in IV-D; or an associate degree in business administration, human resources, law enforcement or closely related degree and two years of experience in eligibility, investigative, judiciary, or legal work that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work and one year in IV-D; or a four year degree and one year in IV-D or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements/Qualifications
Additional Training/Experience:
Child Support Enforcement New Worker Training; ACTS training; CSENet Training; experience with State Information Systems.
