General Statement of Duties
Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking a Quality Assurance and Training Sr. Social Worker Supervisor.
This position will serve as a supervisor for child welfare Quality Assurance and Training Staff. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the review of case records in the Family and Children's Division, evaluating the quality of work, including adherence to federal, state, and county laws, policies, standards, and completing assessments.

Distinguishing Features
This position is responsible for identifying training needs and making action plans to ensure agency-wide compliance, assisting managers and supervisors in identifying needs, objectives, and strategies for programs, work performance, and training through the result of case reviews.
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of training to agency staff.
This position will also be responsible for utilizing data to evaluate effectiveness of agency trainings.
This role monitors improvements of individual workers' and supervisors to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and standards-based upon ongoing monitoring of records.
Also, they will need to develop broad training objectives for the Child Welfare Division based on case reviews and discussions with their supervisor, Division Director, Agency Director, and other management staff.
Minimum Education and Experience
Master's degree from an accredited school of social work and two years of social work or counseling experience or;
Bachelors Degree from an accredited school of Social Work and three years Social Work or Counseling Experience or;
Master's degree in a counseling field and three years of social work or counseling experience or;
Four-year degree in a human services field or related curriculum including at least 15 semester hours in courses related to social work or counseling and four years of social work or counseling or.
A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.
Must have completed North Carolina Child Welfare Pre-Service Training. Experience working in a North Carolina local county government as a supervisor in a Child Welfare program. Experience facilitating trainings and or curriculum development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for creating and writing policies, practices and guidelines to enhance the delivery of social work practice among all staff, interpreting laws and policy changes developed by NCDHHS, and developing, recommending and assisting in the implementation of standardized work methods and practices.
An employee in this role supervises predominantly Sr. Social Workers and is responsible for assigning cases to subordinates, coordinating workflow operations, and supervising the staff through case review and consultation which requires the provision of substantial and recurring technical direction. Work includes staff training, resolving problems and ensuring that quality services are provided. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated by observation, in discussions, and through review of reports and case records. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of training to agency staff (social workers, social work supervisors and members of management team). This position will also be responsible for utilizing data to evaluate effectiveness of agency trainings.
